While our Buyers look for merchandise that makes Saks Fifth Avenue special, our Planners put that merchandise in the right stores at the right time. Planners work with Buyers to drive sales, boost margin and manage inventory effectively. Collaboration is key -- Buyers and Planners are partners. Store Management

Our store management team is responsible for creating a selling and service culture that delivers the best possible results. They lead by example as they drive performance, maintaining a highly visible floor presence in order to connect with Associates and customers. They are also responsible for motivating their selling teams to achieve selling goals and for keeping morale high, achieving retention standards and recruiting new Associates.


Our operations team is responsible for driving company profitability by demonstrating fiscal responsibility. This includes creating and managing budgets and expenses, handling logistical operations, protecting company assets and ensuring the facilitation of the selling process. A variety of store line and corporate positions can be found under the Operations umbrella, including Operations Managers, Assistant General Managers of Operations, and Regional Directors of Operations. We also have a number of related opportunities in the areas of corporate finance, credit, store planning and distribution.


A career in Human Resources at Saks Fifth Avenue is a dynamic and versatile one. HR Associates develop expertise in many different areas: recruiting and hiring high performance candidates, coaching Associates to deliver outstanding results, recognizing strong performers and addressing performance issues. They also coordinate training and communication needs, oversee career development programs and direct succession planning. In addition, they ensure Saks Fifth Avenue's total compensation and benefits programs are comprehensive and competitive.


Our marketing team supports both merchants and stores with marketing strategies that drive our business objectives. Leveraging customer insights and using the latest database technology, the marketing team includes an in-house advertising agency with creative and production capabilities, and specialists across all core marketing functions. From advertising to events, from direct mail to credit and loyalty marketing, this department develops best-in-class campaigns and programs that keep Saks Fifth Avenue at the forefront of fashion.
